(ADV) Buffalo Hills sends good business news and a special thank you

At 9:22amCT, with the receipt of the specials for Route 61 Diner today, the May 13, 2010, chapter of "What's Cooking," appears complete, ready for intense, scrumptious scrutiny. Quick Stop is featuring it's challenge to Philadelphia. Rerun's has already called in, with a super Thursday special. The Cafe on the Square's Soup and Sandwich of the Day is posted. The School menu was posted before the bus left. And Mike Hamlett sent word of another dining at Mulligan's The Pines at Lindsey Wilson buffet. The slowdown may have come from the staff drooling over that World Famous Blackberry Cobbler from Betty's OKCC. To borrow from Tom Chaney, Hart County philosopher, we read them all and remembered, "Thank God for capacity."

Almost everybody in our world is a reader of "" and they will see this. But we like the message below, that this brave Buffalo Man sent. We have a romantic mental picture of the Buffalo Man, of him going out every morning to tend his herd of cute little buffalo - talking to them, perhaps playing some Brahms or Lisa Fisher or Larry Smith to gentle them down, then heading home to transform,- Superman like and before daylight, in to his Buffalo Chef uniform - to get ready for a big day at Buffalo Hills. It may not be exactly that way. But it is the way we like to conjure up the image of Columbia's World Famed Buffalo Man. So please don't tell us differently. Don't ruin this for us. Woody Slinker told me about the Easter bunny when I was in the 7th grade. I'm not over that yet.

Anyway, Jim sent this advertisement, this letter of Hope and Optimism that we want to reprint. The Hospitality Industry is thriving in his corner of the world, and portends the coming, someday we know, of fleets of busloads of Canadian tourist to sample real raised on the plains of Adair Co, KY, Buffalo! The ad is entitled "Incredible Wednesday." It is presented here for your edification and dining speculation:
We wanted to thank you for an incredible Wednesday - I do believe that Columbia has discovered Buffalo Hills! We invite those that missed out on the BBQ Buffalo Brisket yesterday, to enjoy Columbia's favorite sandwich again today. And we're grilling up all our Signature Sandwiches from 10:30 -1:30 .... Hawaiian Chicken and Hawaiian Burgers, BBQ burgers and BBQ Chicken Breast, Slaw Burgers, South of the Border Burgers and our outstanding Bountiful Salads, topped with your choice of Grilled Chicken or Buffalo.

"What's Cooking" every day. (Just don't put your spoon through the screen trying to eat the Blackberry Cobbler. It's just a picture. The real thing is at Betty's). As far as we could check, it's all online right now.
