Obituary: Mable Clara Tarter, 101, Adair Co. KY native She was a member of a highly regarded Adair County family. She was a former teacher in the Adair Co. School System. She was a charter member of the North Bullitt Christian Church Mable Clara Tarter age 101 years of Shepherdsville, KY formerly of Adair County passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 after a long illness. The funeral service will be Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 10amET/9amCT at the Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, 4895 North Preston Highway, (Preston Hwy and Brooks RD) Shepherdsville, KY. Visitation from 2pmET Until 8pmET on Wednesday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home,Shepherdsville, KY. Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, in Columbia, KY at 12 noon CT, on Thursday, May 13, 2010. Mable Clara Tarter, 101, Adair Co. native (1909-2010) Mable Clara Tarter was the daughter of the late Samuel and Cordelia Hatfield Merritt. She was born Tuesday, February 16, 1909 in Adair Co., KY and died Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at the age of 101 years, 2 months, and 25 days. She was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence Ray Tarter in 1996. She was preceded in death by a sister: Martha Gentry and by brothers, Ray Merritt, Charles Merritt, William Merritt, Edwin Merritt and Earl Merritt. Survived by the following:
