Today, Sat., May 8, 2010 is Stamp Out Hunger! day Leave a sturdy bag of non-perishable foods next to your mailbox, today A reminder to go to the store or go to your pantry and get at least a dozen or more cans of food to contribute to Stamp out Hunger! campaign by the United States Post Office. Carriers will be picking up donations today, Saturday, May 8, 2010. To help Stamp Out Hunger! in Adair County this year, simply leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable foods, like canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice or cereal, next to your mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on May 8. Food items should be in non-breakable containers, such as boxes and cans. Mail carriers will pick up the donations and deliver them to the local food bank.
