Charles Grimsley first to file for Mayor of Columbia Columbia City Councillor Charles Grimsley became the first to file for the office of Mayor of the City of Columbia, subject to the general election, Tuesday, November 8, 2010. Grimsley, owner of Grimsley's Jewelry, Columbia, KY, is a 14 year veteran of the Columbia City Council and is currently the longest serving Council Member.Grimsley is also chairman of the Columbia Parks and Recreation Board.
