Baby So Soft now over 700 blankets/cash equivalent total

Bonnie Rodgers reported this morning that even though the Flood impeded reports from many contributing organizations, the latest count shows that the campaign to get 1000 soft holding blankets. enough to give one to each baby in the Kosair Children's Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit over the course of one year, is over 700 blankets/cash equivalent.

This morning, the count was 675 blankets, $305 in cash, or enough to money to add 30 blankets.

"We know that a lot of congregations did not report because of the the Flood," Bonnie Rodgers said. "And we know of one group as far away as Monticello which will be reporting, later."

She said that many with ties to Adair County have heard or read about the Baby So Soft Campaign and have taken blankets directly to Kosair, but the campaign is unsure, at present how many are there.

"And, of course," we still hope that congregations, schools, and clubs will pitch in between now and the time we take the blankets to Kosair." That trip is planned for May 15, 2010.The drive will reach 1000 blankets with just 295 more blankets. The Campaign will take donations of blankets and cash through Friday, May 14, 2010. The drop off point is Quality Personnel, 308 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY. For more information call (270) 384-2866. For more information click on Baby So Soft
