Obituary: Harry Dennis Young, 69, Metcalfe Co., KY

Mr. Young was a member of a popular, resourceful Sulphur Well, KY, family. He was retired from the Kentucky Highway Department

Harry Dennis Young, age 69 of Center, KY, died Friday April 30, 2010 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Smith Cemetery in Sulphur Well, KY. Visitation will be Monday, May 3, 2010, from 4pm to 8pmCT, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton. KY.



He was the son of the late Earl Levi and Bertha Davis Young and had retired from the State Highway Department.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Sandy Froggett of Center, KY; and Glenda Ezell of Adolphus, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Boone Froggett, Rachel Froggett, Tonya Collins, and Megan Smith

  • Two great grandchildren: Alex Collins and Levi Faulkner

  • Companion: Renetta Bailey
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Wendell Young and one sister Lois Walker.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
