Lindsey Wilson Players to present Antigone Thursday-Saturday

COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson Players will present a modern version of a Greek classic this weekend. The Players will perform Antigone at 7pmCT Thursday-Saturday, April 29 and 30, and May 1, 2010 at the Lindsey Wilson College Norma & Glen Hodge Center for Discipleship, 402 Helen Flatt DR, Columbia, KY.



Written by Sophocles around 441 B.C., the Players are presenting a version of Antigone written by Jean Anouilh in the early 1940s. Anouilh wrote the play as a form of resistance to Nazi Germany, which had occupied his native France during World War II.

The Lindsey Wilson performance is set in non-descript post-World War II Latin American nation. It is directed by Robert Brock of Kentucky Repertory Theatre at Horse Cave.

General admission tickets to the play are $5. They can be purchased at the door or by calling the box office at (270) 384-8132.
