Adair Co., KY, joins an upper census participation level

Latest census figures show that Adair County, KY has now joined Green, Taylor, and Metcalfe County in the 3rd Highest Mail-in Participation category, 79-86%, a check at the Census 2010 Take 10 tracking site showed.

All seven area counties are above the national average of 72% participation, and six counties are above the state of Kentucky average participation rate of 75% and the seventh, Cumberland, is tied with the state average.

  • Adair Co., KY, 79% participation rate

  • Casey Co., KY, 76% participation rate
  • Cumberland Co., KY, 75% participation rate
  • State of Kentucky, 75% participation rate
  • National rate, 72% participation rate
The deadline for mailing in 2010 census forms was, April 16, 2010. Now the count will be done by door to door canvassing.
