Site Note:
Thanks for making the Events Calendar more important than ever

The ColumbiaMagazine.com Events Calendar is enjoying record posts and activity. We want to thank everyone who is posting for doing their part to make it possible, as well as the advertisers who support the service. Today, it's the Columbia Rotary Club, Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, and the Estate of Mildred Thomas.

We also especially appreciate all those who send complete information with events notices for ColumbiaMagazine.com :

Events submitted in the CM Magazine.com format, which include the name of the person submitting along with contact information, name of the event, the sponsor, the street address and street number, the day, date and time of the event, are fast tracked, and get the full ColumbiaMagazine.com Free Events Publicity Package:
  • A front page announcement
  • A listing in the Events Calendar, linked to the full announcement
  • Where appropriate, a classified ad with with ad appearing on the front page in the Featured Classified position briefly
  • A Front Page, linked Events reminder on the Front Page of ColumbiaMagazine.com on the day of the event
All this is free when all necessary material is contained in one email.

Additional publicity, including a request for an additional front page posting, is considered advertising. Additional advertising on CM is welcome, and cost effective.

Please note that if there is a charge for admission, the announcement may be considered an ad; if the announcement is for a meal with a price for the meal, it is considered an ad and should be submitted to What's Cooking. If there is no set admission charge (donations only), it is considered a news item.

If the announcement is promoted with paid advertising elsewhere, it would be considered advertising.

And, of course, announcements which are advertising of other advertising are advertising, and charged. -CM
