Obituary: Mary Josephine Pearson, 88 Taylor Co., KY

She was the matriarch of a very large, respected family. She leaves 69 direct living descendants and several step children and step grandchildren

Mary Josephine "Jo" Pearson, of Campbellsville, KY died at 11:25amET, Friday, April 16, 2010, in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Bible Baptist Tabernacle, 50 Bambi DR, Campbellsville, KY by Pastor Bob Cutler. Burial will be in the Mayfield Family Cemetery, Glasgow, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY.

Mary Josephine "Jo" Pearson, Taylor Co., KY (1922-2010)

Mary Josephine "Jo" Pearson, of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ernest Webb and Nellie Mayfield Webb, was born in Barren County, Kentucky, Saturday, January 14, 1922. She died at 11:25amET., Friday, April 16, 2010, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 88 years, 3 months, and 2 days.

She united in marriage to William Paul Ennis. He preceded her in death in 1972.

She united in marriage to Walter Pearson. He preceded her in death in 1981.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and four daughters: Charles Edward Ennis and wife, Florence of Florida, Mary K. Jolly and husband, Guy of Louisville, KY; Martha Bertram and husband, Phil; Sharon K. Beams and husband, Terry: and Carolyn Sue Tims of Campbellsville, KY

  • Twenty-three grandchildren

  • Forty great-grandchildren

  • One great-great-grandson

  • Several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren

  • Aunt: Lora Atwell of Center, KY

  • Two cousins: Robert Mayfield and Jimmy Atwell

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by two sons: Willard Ernest Ennis and James Wallace Ennis; three grandchildren: William Anthony Ennis, Regina Tims and Douglas Blake Simpson; four step-children and one sister, Gussie Witters.

Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
