Obituary: Laura Wooten, 83, Jefferson Co., KY

She was a retired Jefferson Co., KY school system teacher. Her marriage to Aubrey Wooten, who survives, endured for 64 years. She was of the Methodist Faith

Laura Wooten, age 83 years of Louisville, KY passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 5:30pm at home.

The funeral service will be Sunday April 11, 2010 at 1pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY. Bro. Darrell Pelston will be the officiating clergy. Interment in the Antioch Cemetery, 8147 Burkesville RD, Columbia, KY. The family requests visiting from 2-6pmCT, at the funeral home.

Laura Wooten, Louisville, KY (1926-2010)

Laura Wooten was the daughter of the late Fowler and Bina Appleby Norris of Clinton County, KY. She was born on Sunday, June 27, 1926, and died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 83 years, 9 months, and 11 days.

Survived by her husband of 64 years Aubrey Wooten of Louisville, KY and by the following:
  • Three sisters: Dalen Dooley of Louisville, KY; Creola Blevins of Indianapolis, IN, and Ruth Lollar of Indianapolis, IN
Mrs. Wooten was a retired teacher with the Jefferson County Public Schools and of the Methodist faith.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
