LW Singers leave for Spring 2010 tour Five day tour includes stop in Paris, KY, then trip to Texas and concludes in Columbia, KY with performance at Columbia Baptist Church By Duane Bonifer News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College Singers will make it a baker's dozen next week when they perform their annual Spring Homecoming Concert. The Lindsey Wilson Singers will perform at 7pmCT on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Columbia Baptist Church, 201 Greensburg St. The concert is part of the 2009-10 Lindsey Wilson Cultural Affairs Series. It is free and open to the public. The Lindsey Wilson Singers' annual Spring Homecoming Concert will come following a five-day concert tour that will include stops in Paris, KY, and then at three locations in Texas. The April 14 concert will feature sacred vocal compositions by Melchoir Frank, George Frideric Handel, Heinrich Isaac, Giovani Croce, Hans Leo Hassler as well as several contemporary composers. The length of the concert is about one hour. This is the 13th year the Lindsey Wilson Singers have taken a spring tour under the direction of Associate Professor of Music and Religion Gerald L. Chafin. The officers of this year's 31-member ensemble are President Molly Atkinson of Louisville, KY, Vice President Brandon Wood of Columbia and student government Representative Logan Fausnaugh of Gradyville.
