He was a veteran of World War II, a carpenter, and of the Methodist faith

Paul William Young, 86 years of Louisville, Ky. passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 1:47amCT, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 2pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQuearyFuneral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Raymond Martin the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Wednesday, March 31, 2010.



Paul William Young, 86, Louisville, KY (1924-2010)

He was the son of the late Sylvester and Ruth May Lane Young. He was born on Sunday, February 24, 1924 in Casey Co., KY, and died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY at the age of 86 years, 1 month, and 6 days.He is survived by his wife, Juanita Wooten Loy Young, Louisville, KY formerly of Adair Co., KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Beverly Carpenter of Danville, KY, and Connie Evans of Versailles, KY

  • Three brothers: Melvin Young of Louisville, KY; Ray Young of TN, and Owen Young of Oregon

  • Three grandchildren

  • One great grandchild
  • And a host of other relatives and friends
He was of the Methodist faith. He was a carpenter and a veteran of World II.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
