Obituary: Denny Hayes, 62, Liberty, KY

Mr. Hayes was a truck driver and a timber cutter. He was of the Baptist faith

Denny Hayes, 62, Button Knob RD, Liberty, KY, died Saturday, March 27, 2010, as the result of an auto accident on KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 31, at 2pmET/1pmCT, at McKinney Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville RD, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Darrell Burton and Bro. Wayne Naylor officiating. Burial will be in the Old Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 30, 2010, from 6-9pmET/5-8pmCT, at the funeral home.


Denny Hayes, Casey Co., KY (1947-2010)

Denny Hayes was the son of the late Kester Hayes and Eula Moxley Hayes. He was born Friday, August 1, 1947, in Casey County, KY and died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at near Liberty, Casey Co., KY, at the age of 62 years, 7 months, and 26 days.

He was a truck driver and timber cutter. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Burton Hayes, Liberty, and the following:
  • Three daughters: Tammy Good, Stanford, KY; and Becky Roy and Kim Watson, Liberty, KY

  • Four sons: Nick and Derrick Hayes and Steven Allen and Tyler Cochran, all of Liberty, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild

  • A brother: Odell Hayes, Liberty, KY

  • Four sisters: Sue Edwards, Virginia Emerson, Nell Herren, and Sharlene Blevins, all of Liberty, KY
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Hayes; and sister, Anita Stafford.

McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville RD, Liberty, KY, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
