Four day KY 55 Yardsale starts April 15, 2010 146 miles long yard sale starts in Sewellton, Russell Co., KY, passes through Crocus, the Village of Hardscratch, Columbia, Cane Valley, Coburg, Campbellsville, KY and ends on the south bank of the Ohio River.Participants in Adair, Russell and Taylor Counties can list KY 55 Highway Yard Sales on ColumbiaMagazine.com, too. Chamber of Commerce Residents and businesses along KY Highway 55 in the counties of Adair, Russell Taylor, Marion, Washington, Nelson, Spencer, Shelby, Henry, Trimble and Carroll counties are invited to join the 2nd annual KY Highway 55 Yard Sale. The 4 day event is scheduled for April 15 - 18, 2010. The annual yard sale began, was sponsored and is headquartered at the Finchville Ruritan Community Center in Shelby County. If you set-up your sale on KY 55, other than Finchville, KY, you can register your site by calling 502-834-7754. A map will be posted to help people find their way to your place. Starts in Russell Co., KY Kentucky Route 55 (KY 55) is a 147.227 miles long route which originates at the junction of US 127 near the Freedom Community of Russell County. The route continues through Columbia in Adair County to U.S. Route 68 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, where KY 55 joins US 68 east to Lebanon in Marion County. In Lebanon, KY 55 separates from 68 and proceeds northward through Springfield in Washington County, Bloomfield in Nelson County, Taylorsville and Elk Creek in Spencer County, Finchville and Shelbyville in Shelby County, and Eminence in Henry County. Roughly 3 miles south of New Castle, KY 55 intersects U.S. Route 421.The two routes run concurrent for 8 miles before splitting hear Campbellsburg. KY 55 continues north to Prestonville, where it ends at an intersection with U.S. Route 42 and Kentucky Route 36 on the bank of the Ohio River in Prestonville, KY, Carroll County. Excellent money-making opportunity This is an excellent money-making opportunity for civic clubs, churches, boy/girl scouts, school clubs, merchants or anyone with space to rent as booths. Persons that live along Hwy 55 can sell from their yards or garages.
