The news of the Esh family and friends killed in the worst Kentucky vehicle crash in 20 years continues to be on the minds of everyone in the region.

These comments were part of conversations over the weekend from three who have close ties in Cumberland County:

'Such a people of light and goodness'

The pastor of Columbia United Methodist Church, Neil Janes, said during prayers requests at the start of Palm Sunday services, "We lived next door to the Esh family in Cumberland County and they were such a people of light and goodness."

John Chowning, pastor of Saloma Baptist Church in Campbellsville, and Campbellsville University vice president for church and external relations and executive assistant to the president, sends this comment and link to one of the Esh family's songs, 'Home':
"I thought you all might be blessed by this You Tube play of a song recorded by the Esh family from Marrowbone. It's entitled "Home" and as I understand, was written in memory/honor of their son who was killed in a snowmobile accident in the Ukraine four years ago. He was doing missions work there. While I didn't know the family personally, I had heard of them and everyone spoke very highly of them. This tragedy has really hit the entire Cumberland County community very hard." And Dave Rosenbaum wants to know where contributions can be made
