Friday my wife Michele and I attended the Mid-America Trucking Show at the Expo center in Louisville, KY.

We try to attend every year. It's' a big three-day event, the largest of its kind.

This year there was an especially nice paint job on one of the trucks which had a picture of Lady Liberty, US Soldiers, Military jets and patriotic themes.

I thought it was really nice so Michele suggested I break out the ole trusty cell phone and snap a pic so I did. Also there is a program that a truck sales company puts on every year called "Back On The Road" which puts a trucker hit by hard times back on the road with a new truck and a job.

Candidates are nominated for the prize and one person wins a gently used big truck and a job contract with a company for a year. Should he choose he can stay on with this company or move on to other places and take his truck with him, it's his truck.

Country singer Aaron Tippin has been a large part of this event for three years now. He once owned and operated his own truck and knows how hard it is, so he helps sponsor this event.
