Adair Co. Census mail-in participation now at 37% (Friday, March 26, 2010, at 4:34amCT) - Six of the seven counties in South Central Kentucky, including Adair and surrounding are participating in the 2010 U.S. Census at an above average rate vs. the U.S. as a whole, now at 29%, and three of the seven area counties, Cumberland, Taylor, Green and Adair, are above the Kentucky average response, 32% as this is written. Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton is asking everyone to be counted, by returning the mail-in form as soon as possible. She's already mailed her form to the Census Bureau. "This means so much to us. Besides protecting the state's congressional representation, it also affects funding we receive." She said that though the form is simple, if anyone needs help or has questions to ask, her office is open to help. Participation rates at 10:29amCT Thursday, March 25, 2010
