Wimsatt is MSC Track & Field Performer of the Week

News from Lindsey Wilson College Sports InformationCOLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson College senior Kristina Wimsatt is the Mid-South Conference Women's Track & Field Performer of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Wimsatt led the Blue Raiders to a second-place finish at the Small College Invitational hosted by Berea (Ky.) College on Saturday by scoring 33 points in individual events and another 10 as a member of the 4x100 meter relay team.



The weekly award is Wimsatts first conference honor of the season and the first of her career.

The Owensboro, KY, native won the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.67 seconds and the long jump with an effort of 17 feet and 5 inches. Wimsatt pushed the 4x100 meter relay team to another first-place finish with a time of 51.50 seconds.

Wimsatt also tied for second place in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet 8 inches and placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.86 seconds.

The senior tallied seven points in the high jump and six points in the 200-meter dash.Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 9amCT on March 27, 2010, at the Cedarville Open in Cedarville, OH.
