Obituary: Eliza F. Copley, 91, Russell Co., KY

Mrs. Copley was a homemaker and the matriarch of a large, respected Dunnville/Russell Co., KY area family. She leaves 112 direct living descendants

Eliza F. Copley, Lafavers RD, Russell Springs, KY, died Saturday, March 20, 2010, at TJ Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow, KY.

The funeral service will be at Bethel United Baptist Church, Dunnville., KY, at 2pmCT, Monday, March 22, 2010, with Bro. Delvin Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Dunnville, KY. Visitation is after 5pmCT, Sunday, March 21, 2010, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main ST, Jamestown, KY.



Eliza F. Copley, 91, Russell Co., KY (1918-2010)

She was the daughter of the late Sarah Jane (Janes) Lafavers and Ruel Ragle. She was born Friday, March 22, 1918, in Dunnville, Russell Co., KY and died Saturday, March 20, 2010, in Glasgow, Barren Co., KY, at the age of 91 years, 11 months, and 26 days.

Mrs. Copley was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Copley.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Ronnie Copley and Jimmy Copley, both of Dunnville, KY

  • Four daughters: Joyce Lafavers, Russell Springs, KY; Dorthy Luttrell, Dunnville, KY; Shirley Passmore, Dunnville, KY; and Jeanetter Bernard, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters: Virgie Crew, Russell Springs, KY

  • Thirty six grandchildren

  • Fifty-four great grandchildren

  • Sixteen great great grandchildren
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by three sons, Donald, Larry, and Buster Copley; one daughter, Violet Copley; two brothers, Jimmy and Claude Ragle, and one sister, Mary Crew.

H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
