She was a member of a highly-regarded Taylor Co., KY family and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church in Campbellsville, KY

Ruth Adams Newton, 72, of Campbellsville, KY died at 4amET, Friday, March 19, 2009 in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 11amET/10amCT,, Tuesday, March 22, 2010 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Dave Walters and Rev. Phillip Kelley. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, West Main ST, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT at the funeral home.



Pallbearers are Gary Jones, Casey Maupin, David Alan Newton, Devin Ray Newton, J. Paul Newton, Michael Newton, Ricky Newton, Chris Wilson, and Timothy Hunter Yates

Ruth Adams Newton, 72, Taylor Co., KY (1937-2010)

Ruth Adams Newton of Campbellsville, KY daughter of the late John Rowan Adams and Grace Lowry Adams, was born Sunday, October 17, 1937 in Oldham Co., KY. She died at 4amET, Friday, March 19, 2009 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY at the age of 72 years, 5 months, and 2 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church, Campbellsville, KY.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and two daughters: Danny Ray Newton and Michelle Yates of Campbellsville, KY; and Linda Maupin of Danville, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Casey Maupin of Danville, KY; Chanci Jo Yates and Timothy Hunter Yates of Campbellsville, KY; and Devin Ray Newton, Louisville, KY

  • One brother: John R. Adams Jr. of Scottsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • Special friend: Holly Jones Wilson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by one son, Timmy Newton, May 29, 1983.
