Obituary: Ricky Dale Ervin, 54, Metcalfe Co., KY

Ricky Dale Ervin, age 54. of Summer Shade, KY, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30pmCT until 8pmCT, Saturday, March 20, 2010, and after 9amCT, Sunday, March 21, 2010, at the funeral home.



He was a carpenter and son of Carlos Ervin of Greensburg and Jo Ann Lile Ervin of Glasgow. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife Angela Thurman Ervin, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Amber Ervin of Edmonton, KY, and Brandy (Jason) Wood of Glasgow, KY

  • Two step children: Tyler and Jacob Ford of Edmonton, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Brianna, Lexis and Jayden Wood

  • One brother: Danny Ervin of Glasgow, KY

  • Three sisters: Cathy Coffey and Freda Green both of Smith Grove, KY; and Judy Ervin of Glasgow, KY

  • And several nieces and nephews
Butler Funeral Home, Edmonton, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
