ACHS Baseball Field Renovation Celebration is March 20, 2010

Presentations of Certificates of Appreciation will be made 11:00am on Saturday. Adair County High will meet Glasgow High at noon at the ACHS Baseball Field, 336 Gen. John Adair DR, Columbias, KY.

By Julie Brockman

I am the proud parent of Derek Brockman, #3 of the ACHS baseball team.

Volunteers, including players, coaches, parents and members of the public have worked extremely hard the past few months on renovating our field and would love to share it with everyone.

We are having a "Renovation Celebration" on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at the baseball field on Indian Drive. We will be recognizing several members of the public for their donation of time and/or money to our projects.

A large chunk of the money to renovate the field was received by winning the field makeover from Frosted Flakes, thanks in large part to the publicity that Columbia Magazine provided for the contest and voting!

We received over 29,000 votes!

Activities that day will begin at 11amCT with presentations of certificates of appreciation followed by a game against Glasgow at 12 noon.

The ACHS Baseball players, coaches, and parents would like to invite all of Columbia to join us.

Thanks!-Julie Brockman
