Success is the ultimate result of the strivings for excellence

The Adair County School District A-teams: An amazing example of the striving for excellence culture that inhabits much of our school system

About: Thank You to everyone for a Successful Ateams State weekend

By Billy Joe Fudge

Thank you, Mr. Reliford! Congratulations to you and this amazing group of scholastic athletes. You are all an amazing example of the striving for excellence culture that inhabits much of our school system.

"No man is an island" and similarly, great successes are usually not the result of the genius or efforts of one. Your team's continual striving for excellence is apparent in each individual and their personal commitments to the success of their team, their school and their community areobvious and commendable.

Excellence is not a result of success and neither is success a result of excellence. Success is the ultimate result of the strivings for excellence. This culture of striving to excel is infectious and is an implacable phenomenon inside our school system.

This relentless commitment to striving for excellence is already showing itself in our community and will continue to overcome all barriers and impediments; making us all better for it.-Billy Joe Fudge
