Thank You to everyone for a Successful A-teams State weekend 'Another positive accomplishment...' makes writer '...proud each and every time I get to wear the Adair County name...' By Brett Reliford, Adair Co. Academic Teams Coach I would like to thank everyone in the community that has shown their support in this year's chase toward Governor's Cup State Finals. This show of support is a constant reinforcement to our students at practices leading up to these prestigious events like this weekend's State Championships. I would especially like to thank everyone in attendance at this weekend's event. I was very impressed with the support of those present. A special thanks go to Middle School coach Sherry Stotts and the many chaperones who helped organize a very busy weekend of competition to give our students the absolute best support and environment possible in order to achieve this record-breaking weekend for Adair County schools. The chaperones included Barbara Leibeck, Jacquelyn Montgomery, Georgeana Grant, Mary Ann McQuaide, Vicki Leibeck, Brenda and Gary Mann, Tasha Padgett, and Lily Franklin. As mentioned, there were many additional family supporters and friends from the community (even neighboring counties and community supporters) who took time out of their daily schedules to support these driven young competitors who make me proud to be a part of their amazing accomplishments each and every year. Adair County has yet another positive accomplishment to add to its long list of successful county-wide achievements (both in- and out-of-school-related activities) that make me very proud each and every time I get to wear the Adair County name with pride. I appreciate those adults in attendance this weekend at Governor's Cup who donated their time and efforts to this same shared investment in this county's achievements and were critical in making this weekend such a success.
