Billy Joe Fudge: Poetry is meant to be read aloud About: Choices is wonderful readaloud poem letter from Linda Waggener and Geniece Marcum By Billy Joe Fudge Poetry is created to be read and recited aloud. Silently reading poetry is like trying to enjoy ocean waves crashing on shore while watching TV. A little exercise for you to try is to yourself while setting down read the 23rd Psalm. Then stand up and read it aloud. I think you will find that the words of David, the author, coming out of your mouth will speak to you with a fullness you've not experienced before. The same will happen for you with any poetry. Read it to yourself to familiarize yourself with it, then stand up and read it aloud. This story was posted on 2010-03-15 09:00:07
