Pamela Hoots appointed to Human Rights Commission

HARRODSBURG, KY. Pamela Hoots, the former Mayor of Columbia, has been appointed to the newly formed Human Rights Commission for Mercer County, Kentucky.

Pam was appointed by the Mercer County Judge Milward Dedman. The commission has eleven members; five appointed by the county judge, four by the Mayor of Harrodsburg and two by the Mayor of Burgin.

Her term will be for two years. The commission was formed for the purpose of promotion of diversity regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, and age.

Hoots was the Human Resources Professional of the Year for the State of Kentucky in 2004. She is also the Mercer County Republican Party Chairperson. She is the daughter of Gene and Joyce Hoots of Columbia.

The Commission will be having training session in the immediate future.
