Sadly, KY loses to TN on verbal efficiency, re: regions About: Yes, there really is a Louisville Tennessee By Billy Joe Fudge CM Resident Contributing Adair Co., KY Folk Linguist One doesnt have to go any further than Clum-be Kentucky and Ca-lum-bi-a Tennessee to find another prime example of how Adair Countians have seemingly perfected verbal efficiency. Tennessee lost to Kentucky today in round ball of which I am thankful and in spite of their excessive syllabling in the previous example has shown amazing restraint in their labeling of geographic regions. Eastern, Central, and Western Kentucky fall considerably short of the brevity of East, Middle, and West Tennessee. In spite of our loyalty to the two syllabled Bluegrass State as opposed to the three syllabled Volunteer State, we should never pall in giving credit where credit is due.
