TOUR SEKY seeking requests to participate in work study trip to Franklin, TN Franklin, Tennessee's highly successful downtown, marketing strategies, and attractions present study opportunity for representatives from TOUR'S 47 counties, including Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor Counties in Columbia area. By Maggie Bill, TOUR SEKY SOMERSET, KY - TOUR Southern and Eastern Kentucky (TOUR SEKY) is excited to announce Franklin, TN as the destination for its annual spring work study trip. The work study trip is planned for April 27-29th. Community representatives from TOUR's 47 counties are invited to attend. Past participants include Judge Executives, Mayors and tourism professionals. The purpose of the visit is to give representatives from Southern and Eastern Kentucky the opportunity to witness the many successes of Franklin's downtown main streets, marketing strategies, unique attractions, and the many other opportunities the town has to offer. While in Franklin, participants will visit the Carnton Plantation and the Liepers Fork Community. "Everyone can put into action Franklin's successes in their community," said Jeff Crowe, TOUR SEKY President/CEO. "They simply need the support of local officials to see that tourism is a vital aspect of southern and eastern Kentucky's economy." TOUR SEKY hosts one work study trip a year and it has been a great success for TOUR's educational programs.
