Russell County Judicial Center Project is now underway.Groundbreaking for the $11.72 million center was held September 28, 2009, at the location on N. Main Street at Monument Square. Branscum Construction Co. of Russell Springs is the construction manager of the building, designed by Brandstetter Carroll Architects of Lexington, KY.The Russell Co. Project Development Board includes CJE Mickey Garner, Vernon Miniard, Circuit Judge; James Lawson, District Judge; Tony Kerr, Circuit Court Clerk, Greg Popplewell, First District Magistrate, Fiscal Court Representative; Kevin Shearer, representing the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC); Gayle Wilson, Bar Association representative, Ronald Hopper, Citizen at Large, and Danny Rhoades, AO Division of Capital Construction.
