Maxes create beautiful products at Knifley, KY shop

Gary Max is a master woodworker and artist who manufactures high quality, handcrafted products in the Village of Knifley in northern Adair County. His shop and his picturesque home are located on Mt. Tussell Rd.

He works in all sorts of wood, but much of his work is done with cedar. His work includes everything from furniture and pens to exquisite wooden bowls,some inlaid with turquoise.

Max's wife, Margie, is also an outstanding artist and works with wood mosaics.

Her work also includes furniture with beautiful inlays, necklaces and high quality wall art.

MaxsWoodPlus is located at 2051 Mt. Tussell RD, Knifley, KY, where, the the Max's say, "If we are home, we are Open."

If you go: The shop is located 16.2 miles from the Square in Downtown Columbia, KY: North on KY 55 to Knifley RD/KY 551, Right on Elkhorn RD/KY 76, then left on Mt. Tussell RD, and the Max's home and shop is 2.051 miles north.
