Rowe elected VP of KY Chapter, American Dairy Association

Adair County dairyman Billy Rowe has been elected to serve as the Vice-President of the Kentucky chapter of the American Dairy Association. The American Dairy Association (ADA) is a national organization funded by milk check-off dollars to promote and support the dairy industry.

As Vice-President, Rowe will represent dairy farmers across Kentucky and assist his colleagues in planning dairy marketing and educational efforts through media, schools, health professionals, farmers, and the dairy industry. Billy and his son Freddy own and operate Rowe Farms in Columbia, KY.

Locally, the ADA cooperates with the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service and local dairy farmers in holding annual dairy events including June Dairy Month, Annual Dairy Appreciation Picnic, and the Annual ADA Business Meeting. -Nick Roy, Adair County Extension Agent for Agricuture & Natural Resources, 409 Fairground ST, Columbia, KY
