She was a native of Perry Co., KY, and a member of a respected Metcalfe Co., KY, family. She was a member of the New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus, IN. Mrs. Moss was a homemaker

Brenda Jo Moss, age 58, of Edmonton, KY, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at the Penicks Chapel United Baptist Church with burial in the Moore Cemetery, 225 Prices Creek RD, Edmonton, KY, in Adair Co., KY.Visitation will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, Monday, March 1, 2010, and after 9amCT, Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY.



She was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Jess and Opha Wooten Cornett.

She was a homemaker and member of the New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus, IN.

She is survived by her husband David Moss of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Diane (Tommy) Ennis and Shonna Hawkins, all of Edmonton, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Melanie Ennis, Quinna Ennis and Hadlee Hawkins.

  • One brother: Pearl Cornett of Michigan

  • Six sisters: Bobbie McIntosh, Hazard, KY; Mary "Dot" Moore of Alabama; Lana Hamlin of Alabama; Lil Sumner, Hazard, KY; Deloris "Lois" Lanson of Indiana; and Phyllis Wilson of Indiana
Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
