Adair Countians make key plays in Raider victory over WV Tech

Two Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball freshmen from Adair County had big plays in the Thursday, February 25, 2010, win, 73-66, over West Virginia University Institute of Technology at Biggers Sports Center. The Blue Raiders close out the 2009-10 regular season 3pmCT on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at St. Catharine (KY) College. The Mid-South Conference Tournament begins next week in Frankfort, KY.

With less than three minutes to go in the game and LWC clinging to a 63-60 lead, freshman guard Kalen Kimblerland, Columbia, KY, sank a three-point field goal from the right wing to double the Blue Raiders lead to 66-60, Thursday, February 25, 2010, in the Raider's 73-66 win over West Virginia University Institute of Technology at Biggers Sports Center.

Darren Ballou scores in the paint

In the first half of Lindsey Wilson College's game with WV Tech, freshman Darren Ballou scored in the paint to give LWC a 29-21 lead. Ballou was fouled by West Virginia-Techs Roi Buchbinder (No. 44). Buchbinder was then assessed two technical fouls for arguing with the referee, and then the West Virginia-Tech bench was whistled for a technical. After LWCs Eric McPherson made the six technical foul shots and Ballou returned to the line and made his free throw, LWC had a 36-21 lead with 5:47 to go in the first half. Lindsey Wilson won, 73-66.
