Mr. Coomer did so much for the children in our community About: A small party to honor Mr Coomer at Sparksville Baptist By Corine Rowe Petty Just wanted to join all the others in wishing Mr. Brooks a Happy Birthday. I grew up in Sparksville, and attended the Sparksville Baptist in 1953 when Bro. Blevins was pastor, and Bro. Walter Lay came later. I got a lot of spiritual guidance from the people there at an early age. Mr. Brooks was bringing us candy back then too. I will always remember as a small girl his license plate had 23 on it; I didn't know his actual birthday, but I never forgot the year. He did so much for the children in our community, and others. Thank you for the memories. Happy Birthday and God Bless. -Corine Rowe Petty This story was posted on 2010-02-24 18:04:34
