A small party to honor Mr. Coomer at Sparksville Baptist

Mr. Brooks was a founding member of Sparksville Baptist Church

About: A wonderful Adair County Citizen has a birthday today

By Candice Compton Robertson

I have had the wonderful pleasure of knowing Mr. Brooks Coomer for most of my life.

He was one of the founding members of Sparksville Baptist Church and still attends there today.

For many years he was the secretary, treasurer, and took on any other title needed to help the church survive. For as long as he could he made bags of candy for each child on Sunday morning.

He still visits nursing homes bringing fruit and a kind conversation to its residents.

He has always given selflessly to others. He has given so much to this community for many years.

We will be having him a small party tonight after prayer meeting at the Sparksville Baptist Church, 9401 Burkesville RD, Columbia, KY in the Sparksville community of Adair Co., KY., if anyone would like to attend. I'm sure he would appreciate the birthday wishes. Candice Compton Robertson
