KSP reports one fatality in Marion Co. plane crash

Kentucky State Police unsure of cause at this time

LEBANON, KY - The Kentucky State Police are on the scene of an airplane crash approximately four miles north of Lebanon, KY off of KY HWY 0055. Post 15, Columbia, KY, received a call from the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 4:10pmET stating that a Piper 28 airplane had fallen off the radar approximately four miles west of the Springfield/Lebanon airfield.

KSP personnel are unsure as to what time the crash occurred.

The airplane was traveling from Alabama to the Springfield/Lebanon airport with a single occupant. One fatality has been confirmed. Updates on the investigation will follow.
