Obituary: Irene Abell, 79, Casey Co., KY

Irene Abell was a member of a respected Casey Co., KY family. She was a member of the Brush Creek Pentecostal Church and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom

Irene Abell, 79, Liberty, KY, died Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the Casey County Hospital in Liberty, KY.

The funeral service will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Thursday, February 25, 2010, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Bearl King and Bro. Gary Taylor the officiating clergy. Burial wil be in Poplar Grover Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6pmET/5pmCT until 9pmET/8pmCT, Wednesday, February 23, 2010, at the Bartle Funeral Home.



Pallbearers will be Steve, Brian, Tommy, Colten, Colbie, and Presley Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Nolan and Owen Taylor and Allen Bowles.

Irene Abel, Casey Co., KY (1930-2010)

Irene Crawley Abell was the daughter of the late Thomas Crawley and the late Carrie Morris Crawley. She was born Tuesday, October 14, 1930, in Casey Co., KY, and died Sunday, February 21, 2010 in Liberty, Casey Co., KY at the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 7 days.

She was a member of the Brush Creek Pentecostal Church and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Abell.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daugher, Dianne Taylor, Liberty, KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • Five great grandchildren

  • Four great great grandchildren

  • Four step great grandchildren

  • One sister, Christine Mason, Plainfield, IN
Bartle Funeral Home, Liberty, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
