Obituary: Twyman Morris Estes, 74, Metcalfe Co., KY

Twyman Morris Estes was a member of a respected Metcalfe Co., KY family. He was a truck driver and a former employee of Dickerson Lumber Mill

Twyman Morris Estes, 74, Edmonton, KY, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY with burial in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8pmCT, Tuesday, February and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late Ellis and Emma Jessie Estes.Mr. Estes was a truck driver and former employee of Dickerson Lumber Mill.

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Anita Estes of Edmonton, KY

  • One granddaughter: Sarah Estes (Jonathan) Bragg of New York, NY

  • One sister: Etna Milby of Edmonton, KY

  • Two brothers: Harvey (Clara) Estes and Hyman (Sue) Estes all of Edmonton, KY

  • Four sister in laws: Mary (Wilbert) Nance, Martha (Richie) Gilpin, Florence Moore and Linda Brown all of Edmonton, KY

  • One brother in law: Stanley (Sue) Brown of Edmonton, KY
  • Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    Besides his parents Twyman was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Pearl Estes Brown; a son Morris Neal Estes; a sister, Ordell Estes; and two brother in laws, Neal Brown and Bill Moore.
