Farmers Bank building deserves historic designation About: Joe Hare photo: Farmers Bank of Cane Valley Building Stairs side By Ann Curtis From looking at old photos of the Cane Valley Bank building, it''s apparent that at one time there was an arched window on the front wall of the building that matched the arch of the doorway. It was such a pretty building. You can see in Joe's photo that lots of the brickwork has been re-done. Upstairs was at one time the location of the Tampico Masonic Lodge Hall. Joe's description of the tearing out of the vault was amazing! This building built in 1910, according to Randy Flowers' history of Cane Valley, should certainly qualify for historic designation of some kind. This story was posted on 2010-02-22 07:15:58
