20th District Basketball Tournaments start this week The Adair County High School Basketball teams will both face Taylor County High School in the opening round of the 20th District Basketball games, hosted this year by Campbellsville High School,230 West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Coach James Turner's ACHS Girls are 16-10 for the season, good for a 5th place in in Region 5, and second best of four teams in District 20. The Indians are favored to beat Taylor County. A single victory will earn a berth in the Regional Tournament, as both champion and runner up advance from the District tournaments. The ACHS Girls Basketball vs. TCHS game in the 20th District Tournament at Campbellsville, KY starts at 8pmET/7pmCT, Tuesday, February 23, 2010. On Tuesday night, the opening game pits Marion County, the District's top team, against Campbellsville, at 6pmET/5pmCT. Coach Mark Fudge's Adair County High School will face the team with the fourth best win-loss record in the region, second in the district, Taylor County, on Thursday night, February 25, 2010, at 7:30pmET/6:30pmCT, at Campbellsville High School in the 20th District Tournament It's a rebuilding year for the ACHS boys, and the team is now 11-17 on the season. Still, the Indians are living up to a tradition with Mark Fudge-coached teams, showing improvement throughout the season. The Indians have a winning vector, having won the last two games of the season, on the road, at Bardstown and Hart County, and they won convincingly, and appear to be ready for the tournament.
