Obituary: Ray Junior Pierce, 75, formerly of Green Co., KY

He was a member of a respected Pierce Community of Green County, KY family

Mr. Ray Junior Pierce, age 75 of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Green County, passed away, Friday, February 19, 2010 in Tennessee.

Funeral services will be at 2pmCT, Sunday, February 21, 2010, at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home Chapel, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY. Burial will be in the Pierce Community Cemetery in Green Co., KY. Visitation will be from 6-9pmCT, Saturday, February 20, 2010 and after 7amCT, Sunday, February 21, until time of the funeral service at the funeral home.



Ray Junior Pierce, Green Co., KY (1934-2010)

Mr. Ray Junior Pierce was born Monday, October 23, 1934 and died Friday February 19, 2010, in Tennessee at the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 9 days.

He is survived by his wife, Verna Ruthene Pierce of Tennessee, and the following:
  • Two sons and daughters-in-law and two daughters and sons-in-law: Anthony Earl and Mildred Pierce of Elizabethtown, KY; Carol Gale and Glenn Hall of Alabama; Fredia Marie and Anthony Poff of Tennessee; and Stephen Ray and Deanna Pierce of Franklin.

  • Sisters and a brother: Juver Davis of Greensburg, KY; Geneva McAllister of Summersville, KY; and Ralph Pierce of Greensburg, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Timothy David Pierce, Jacob Blaine Pierce, Kristi Lynn Pierce, Jeffrey Daniel Pierce, Amber Hall Gaddy, and Jordan Pierce.
Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
