Obituary: Agnes Ellen Price, 91, Taylor Co., KY

She was a retired, 31 year employee of Fruit of the Loom

Agnes Ellen Price, age 91, of Bardstown, KY, formerly of Taylor County, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Life Care Way Center in Bardstown, KY, after an illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11amET/10amCT, Friday, February 19, 2010, at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home, 502 East Main ST, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Landon Laws, Bro Jimmy Dock, officiating. Burial will follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY.


Agnes Ellen Price, Taylor Co., KY (1919-2010)

Agnes Ellen Price was the daughter of the late John Henry and Margaret Cave Gentry, She was born Wednesday, February 11, 1919, and died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in Bardstown, Nelson Co., KY, at the age of 91 years and 6 days.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Price on July 12, 2009, her brothers, Fletcher Gentry, Lee Gentry, Daniel Gentry and Oliver Gentry, one sister, Maggie Martin.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom. Her career there spanned 31 years.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters and sons in law: Jeanette and Herald Sluder of Shepherdsville, KY; and Betty and Dale Barth of OH

  • Six grandchildren: Sandy Gail Ballinger, Pamela Jean Rogers both of Louisville, KY Gary Michael Miller of Mt. Washington, KY; Willisa Redford and Jeffrey Mozena of Ohio and Todd Redford of Oregan

  • Eleven great grandchildren: Alex, Josh, Liz and Jhen Mings, Noah Sluder, Taylor and Sarah Fegett, Stephanie Johnson, Shawn and Crystal Lyon and Tiffany Ballinger

  • Four great great grandchildren: MacKennzie Rae Lyon, Hayden Patrick, Ashton and Madeline Reitzel

  • Three brothers: Rev. Ervin Gentry of Louisville, Sam Gentry and Charlie Gentry of Peoria, IL
Lyon-Dewitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
