Obituary: Helen Keltner, 76, Adair Co., KY

She was a member of a respected Western Adair County family of the Tarter's Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Keltner was a retired former employee of Oshkosh B'Gosh

Helen Keltner, 76, Columbia, KY, died Monday, February 15, 2010, at 4amCT, at the Commonwealth Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.

The funeral service will be Thursday, February 18, 2010, at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Herbert Janes Officiating. Burial will be in Tarter's Chapel Cemetery, 4350 Milltown RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 3pmCT, Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at the funeral home.



Helen Compton Keltner, 76, Adair Co., KY (1937-2010)

She was a daughter of the late Edgar and Fannie Keltner Compton. She was born in Illinois on Saturday, November 8, 1933, and died Monday, February 15, 2010 in Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY at the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 7 days.She was a member of Tarter's Chapel United Methodist Church and was retired from Oshkosh B'gosh.

She is survived by her husband, Dawson Keltner, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Billy Joe and his wife Pat Keltner, Columbia, KY; and Mitchell and his wife Jane Keltner, Lexington, KY

  • Two daughters: Sharon and her husband Millard Keltner, Columbia, KY; and Debbie Brickman, Columbia, KY

  • Three brothers: Eddie and Bobby Compton, both of Columbia, KY; and Danny Compton, Shepherdsville, KY

  • One sister: Judy Coomer, Columbia, KY

  • Thirteen grandchildren and nine great grand children
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
