In just eight hours, the 2010 Great Backyard Bird Count will be over. There's still time to post checklists. While Columbia, KY has now surpassed the original goal of 400, Barbara Armitage now believes that 500 is attainable. "We've really had splendid cooperation," she said. "Everyone is so enthusiastic, it would be a shame not to go to the next level - 500 checklists. The count is not over until 12 midnight. 4:05pmCT, the rankings the United States - all of North America - in fact, were as follows:
  1. Columbia, Kentucky, 435
  2. Charlotte, North Carolina, 291
  3. Tallahassee, Florida, 276
