Southcentral Kentucky native Dr. Jann Aaron was in Columbia, KY, at Cranmer Dining Center on Lindsey Wilson College, to meet old friends and talk about her book, Open Heart.

She was accompanied by her husband, Dr. Henry Baughman, a former Western Kentucky University professor who helped pioneer development of emergency medical services.

Aaron, who now lives in Smithfield, Ky., based Open Heart on numerous patients she treated while practicing medicine in Southcentral Kentucky.

Thursday's book-signing in the LWC Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center was a fund-raiser for The Healing Place of Louisville, KY.

Aaron also spoke to a class of LWC students who are enrolled in the college's pre-nursing program.
