Darlene Campbell publishes second novel

Author Wanda Darlene Campbell, Columbia, KY, has published her second novel, Journey to Ak'ras

The author, "Darlene," to her friends, is a teacher at Colonel William Casey, Columbia, KY.



Her work has appeared in magazines, journals, literary reviews, newspapers and anthologies such as Instructor Magazine, Story South, Taproot Literary Review, and New Madrid.

The new work is a drama with a touch of the supernatural, mystery and science fiction, a great deal of adventure and romance.
It's the story of Kamna who is in love with Deneela, but he can't be with her. It's too dangerous. There's a flesh-eating alien inside him and if he loses control, even for a moment, Deneela will die. So, he tries to drive her away until her brother is abducted by a maniac who conducts genetic experiments on him. When Deneela sets out to rescue her brother, Kamna cannot let her make the deadly journey alone, but if he isn't careful, someone will have to rescue her...from him.
Darlene's work was recently included in the accompanying anthology to the film, Coal Country [narrated by Ashley Judd].

Journey to Ak'ras is her second novel in the Zhandarian Chronicles series and is the sequel to Dragon's Heir.Journey to Ak'ras will be on sale beginning on or around February 22, 2010, in paperback and e-book format..
