Obituary: Coakley Hoosier, 79, Liberty, KY

Coakley Hoosier, age 79, of Liberty, KY, died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at his residence after an illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11amET/10amCT, Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home, 503 E. Main ST, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Jeff Edwards officiating. Burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY.



Coakley Hoosier, Liberty, KY (1930-2010)

He was the son of the late Houston and Lottie Burress Hoosier. He was born Friday, May 2, 1930, and died in Liberty, KY, Sunday, February 7, 2010, at the age of 79 years, 9 months, and 5 days.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Hoosier and Jack Hoosier, and two sisters, Velma Bailey and Wilma Karnes.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Hoosier of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter and son-in-law: Maelynn and James Alfred Appleby of Casey Co., KY

  • Two grandchildren: James Coakley Dooley and Crystal Ann Sallee

  • Two great grandchildren: Jacob Allem and James Malchi Dooley

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Bradley & Ruby Hoosier and Willie & Betty Hoosier all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four sisters and brothers-in-law, Hettie McDonald of Casey Co., KY; and Nellie Goode Onie and Johnny Abell, Zelma and Bobby Lotter all of Campbellsville, KY
