Mr. Hammond was member of Coffey Grove Separate Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Lake Cumberland State Park

John Robert Hammond, 55, Jamestown, KY, died Friday, February 5, 2010, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT, Monday, February 8, 2010, at Coffey Grove Separate Baptist Church in Russell Co., KY. Interment will be in Dixon Cemetery.

John Robert Hammond was a retired employee of Lake Cumberland State Park, Jametown, KY and was a member of Coffey Grove Separate Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife, Sandy Hammond, Jamestown, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Jennifer Pierce (Keith), Jamestown, KY

  • One step-daughter: Lisa Lewandowski (Andrew), Bardstown, KY.

  • One son: Jonathan Hammond (Amy), Somerset, KY

  • His mother: Ethel Hammond, Greensburg, KY

  • Five sisters: Linda Myers, Nona Alberry, Sue Strakal, all of Campbellsville, KY; Jon Conner, Indianapolis, IN; and Betty Collins, Jamestown

  • Five brothers: Erastus Hammond, Doug Hammond, Danny Hammond, and Carl Hammond, all of Indiana; and Everett Hammond, Lebanon, KY

  • And three grandchildren, two step grandchildren
Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
