All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
Last Saturday a week ago was a little cool, but nice enough we could be outside. I took my camera along when we went to the park to feed the ducks and made pictures of my daughter and granddaughter. As I was looking at the photos it occurred to me that with bad weather reportedly headed our way it might be good to remind everyone to watch out for our animal friends.

This lovely duck waddled over and demanded something to eat. All we had were some left over fries. My granddaughter Abby insisted in feeding them to the duck one fry at a time and dipping each one in ketchup. By the way, that's ketchup on the side of the duck'not blood. After our duck visit we went to my brother's house. The only person home was my nephew Jackson. He volunteered to let Abby play with his hamsters. The one he is holding is Wilma.

iIm not crazy about anything that looks remotely like a mouse but seeing how tiny Wilma is reminded me again of just how dependent small creatures are on us humans. Speaking of tiny creatures I forgot to mention another critter that we saw at my brother's house.

The following picture is of Rachel and Abby getting ready to go for a ride in the Polaris. It looks like Pearl (my brother's Jack Russell) is going to do the driving but she didn't, Jackson did and he did a great job. Shhhh....don't tell Pearl I called her a tiny creature. She thinks she's a Doberman Pincher.

While Pearl and Jackson were entertaining Rachel and Abby I walked over to say hello to some much larger animals.

Right after I snapped this picture the white horse snorted, turned around and kicked Mr. Brown in the side. I am pretty sure that meant "Leave me alone!"

When it's really cold outside, when disasters occur, we need to remember the animal kingdom too! They are depending on us for help!. Stay warm and stay safe!
